Guidance and Counseling

Welcome to the High School Counseling Office! We are honored to support our students and families throughout all four years of high school. From the first day of 9th grade to graduation, our goal is to guide students as they grow academically, personally, and professionally.

Our comprehensive counseling program, aligned with the standards of the Texas Education Agency, focuses on academic planning, graduation requirements under the Foundation High School Program, endorsement selection, college and career readiness, and social-emotional development.

Each grade level brings important milestones:

  • 9th Grade: Transition to high school, four-year planning, endorsement exploration

  • 10th Grade: Academic progress monitoring, career exploration, PSAT preparation

  • 11th Grade: College research, SAT/ACT preparation, dual credit opportunities, financial aid planning

  • 12th Grade: Applications through ApplyTexas, FAFSA/TASFA completion, scholarships, and graduation preparation

We are here to help with scheduling, transcripts, testing information, CCMR goals, and personal support. High school is a time of important decisions and exciting opportunities, and we are committed to ensuring every student feels supported and prepared for life after graduation.

Please contact us to schedule an appointment—we look forward to partnering with you throughout your high school journey!

What does it mean to be College, Career, or Military Ready?

College Ready: Graduates will not have to take remedial classes in college, saving time and money!

Career Ready: Graduates have the essential skills to find, aquire, maintain and grown within a career. They can also enroll in additional postsecondary training without the need for remediation.

Military Ready: Graduates have committed to enlistment with the United States military. Proof of enlistment (DD Form 4) must be turned in to campus.
